Planning your elopement during COVID?

LOOK NO FURTHER

Don’t stress! Your elopement should be easy and fun. Don’t let the stress of a global pandemic get to ya! Here are a few tips for planning your elopement in California during COVID.

HIRE A PLANNER
Planners are not only for big weddings! They’re great for small elopements too. An experienced elopement planner can help you find the perfect location, obtain any permits needed and help with other vendors. If you’re feeling like your elopement is too overwhelming, consider a planner!

CONSIDER AN AIR BNB
Air Bnbs are a great option for elopements. You can either use the Aib BNB for getting ready or if it has a scenic view, use it for your elopement ceremony too! Make sure to check in with the owner of the Air BNB to make sure elopements are allowed.

CONSIDER ALL DAY PHOTO COVERAGE
Elopements are meant to be an intimate event. There are usually really special moments that happen throughout the entire day. I highly recommend at least 6 hours of coverage for an elopement. This way the entire day is documented and you have a beautiful story to look back on, even if it’s something as simple as enjoying a cup of coffee together the morning of.

LEAVE NO TRACE
One major rule of elopements is to leave no trace. Cut out things like confetti and sparkles. Only stay on trails and be aware of wildlife. As a photographer, I try my best to leave everything better than it was when I arrived. Try to be as minimal as possible with your ceremony set up by embracing the views of the location.
