Do you want to make sure your guests have a great time at your wedding? One of the most memorable parts of a wedding is the dance floor and, of course, the music! Picking the perfect playlist can be tricky, I mean there are SO many songs to choose from. After having been to countless reception dance floors, I made a list of some of my favorite classic rock songs that might not be on your wedding reception song list, but definitely deserve a spot!

NOSTALGIA

Choose songs that are nostalgic! Music links to memories in a very special way, so choose songs that bring back happy memories for you and your partner! Plus, it’s more fun for everyone if the songs are recognizable, instead of whatever is on the Top 40’s list right now. 

INCLUDE EVERYONE

To make sure that all of your guests get up on that dance floor and have the best time, pick music that works for a variety of ages and genre preferences (don’t forget about the grandparents)! Include a variety of tempos, genres, artists, and decades to make sure there’s something for everyone. And, if you’re planning on having young kids at the reception, don’t forget to use the clean version of any song to avoid any awkward moments!
